War no mor

Two months of lockdown, and the world economy has gone bananas. Two months. No earthquakes, floods, bombs falling. Just having to stay at home for a while. And up it goes in smoke – your precious “economy”. No resilience. Tens of millions of jobs lost, businesses going bankrupt, trillions of dollars worth down the drain. That was it? Just because of a little strand of RNA?

Bomb explosion cloud

Now just imagine you had to endure a… … WAR! You might have forgotten, but…. … there are hundreds of them going on. If you got yourself into this disaster just for having to stay at home for a few weeks – and you cannot function normally – what about them? The ones who have not had “normality” for years? Some of them for decades? How are THEY supposed to function? And you wonder why this planet is a mess? It needs to stop. NOW!

Stop the war!

Una non mi lascia lavorare. Oggi pomeriggio e’ allegra e spumeggiante. Canta, come solo lei sa cantare per me.

I seem to have lost my ability for writing in these last years. The dilemma I get lost in is simple: I wouldn’t want to give energy to negative aspects, by giving attention to them, and yet, I can’t bring myself to resort to self-censorship, it’s not in my nature. So, I’ve been playing with…

  • What my eyes see

A friend from far away asked me yesterday how it is going here. Yes, how is it going here, with the early spring in Bosna i Hercegovina? It is going so that a people deeply wounded in its soul less than a month ago found a way to break out of a hypnotic, depressive, passive…

Sjedim pored nije, moja ljubav. Slušam kako pjeva, gledam bjele konje od pjene kako se utrkivaju i svjetlucaju pod suncem. Ko god je izbrao muziku u lokalu jutros je genije. Otvorila mi srce. Moje srce ranjeno i slomljeno milion puta, sve pokriveno u ozljedama, moje srce koje me ovih dana prestrašilo, hoće li valjda zakazati,…
